Dans Rentals

Dan’s Rentals is located in Dillingham, Alaska; the premier staging area for outdoor adventures in western Alaska.  Our rates are very competitive, our gear is of the highest quality and our service is second to none.

1.)  Gear is considered rented when we receive a deposit of $100.  Deposit is non-refundable if rental is cancelled less than 30 days from rental date.

2.)  A security deposit of 25% is taken in the event of damage to our equipment while it is in your possession.

3.)  Gear must be returned in the same condition in which it was rented to you, or we will charge your deposit.

4.)  We’ll deliver your rental gear to your Dillingham air charter in time for your trip.

5.)  No metal cleated wading shoes, hobnails, etc. are allowed in our boats and tents.

Commercial passenger airlines will not accept for air transport many items considered hazardous.  Some examples include strikes-anywhere matches, butane lighters for camp stoves, stove fuel, pepper spray (for bear protection), etc.  TSA will confiscate such items from your luggage and may fine you and / or criminally prosecute you for attempting to carry them.  We would be delighted to purchase these items for you locally for the cost of the items involved (prior arrangement only).  CLICK HERE for a list of TSA Prohibited Items.

Our inflatable boats are Northwest River Supplies Otters.  They are 13’9” long self-bailers and include an outfitter rowing frame, 3 oars, padded aluminum dry box or cooler (for passenger seating), pump, repair kit, cargo platform and net, bow line, rescue bag, life jackets and all the straps necessary to secure everything to the boat.

We have several brands of sport boats available, including Zodiac and Achilles.  All come with 15-horse short shaft outboards unless other arrangements are made.  NOTE: A $50 prop deposit is required on all outboards.

OUTBOARD MOTORS
We have outboards ranging from 25-horse to 8-horse.  Includes spare prop, spare plug, starting rope, cleaner, tools, Call for availability.  NOTE: A $50 prop deposit is required on all outboards.

Six-person (Cabela’s Guide Model or Denali XWT).  Comes with two 9 X 10 tarps, stakes and ropes.  We also have a screen tent that makes an excellent bug-free zone in which to cook or dine, for the same price.

Cook sets are customized for each group, and include the following items:

Cook set includes 11″ plates, 6″ bowels, 09oz. coffee cups, spoons, knives, forks, for the number of people in the group. The kit also includes the following:

Water-tight 18” X 36” box keeps your stuff dry, fragile items protected, and doubles as a raft seat / camp bench.

Large 11” X 18” X 36” dry bag keeps your sleeping bag, clothes or personal gear dry.
